Vanden Heuvel Wins WSORR Rounds VII and VIII
7/31/2008The Flying Dutchman lived up to his nickname: Maxxis’ sponsored driver Dan Vanden Heuvel won the PRO 2WD class at WSORR’s Rounds 7 and 8. The races were held July 25-26 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Vanden Heuvel took the win in Round 7 after a tight battle over a highly technical course, finishing three and a half seconds ahead of the next driver. He won Round 8 one day later. With 166 points, Vanden Heuvel now holds the lead for the PRO 2WD title.
“We had a fantastic weekend, on one of the most technical tracks we’ve encountered this year. With my truck, it was just the most awesome feeling to go out there with a new tire company for us and do so well. Maxxis tires performed awesome, fantastic. It’s hard to get any better than that,” said Vanden Heuvel.
